Great app currently having issues though

Usually this app works great for messaging & I don’t have any trouble during most of the phone calls with sound quality but currently it is saying there are network problems when I try to send a message I hope it is resolved soon then back to 5 stars & a better review been using since October 2024 first time ever having issues other than video visits but that could be issues on my end.

Securus

I was surprised at all the negative reviews for this app but I guess I’ve been blessed because I’ve been using it to stay in contact with my son for four years now and I’ve only had two issues and they were resolved within 24 hrs. I use it to e-message him, video visit with him and send him money once a month. I don’t use it to call or text and it may take him a day or two to get my e-messages and the same when he messages me but since it’s been like that from the very beginning I never really thought much about it. Sometimes the sound quality is not up to par but I’m just thankful to be able to see his face and talk to him at all because I’m a old woman with no transportation and without this app I wouldn’t be able to visit him at all so I love it but I am sorry that so many others seem to have so much trouble with it.

Epic Technical Difficulties

I am unable to get my JPay and Securus accounts to allow me to message my loved one. It’s been 5 days, multiple calls in which I get different answers that don’t solve the problem, and now Securus and JPay can’t find my loved one at all. She probably thinks I don’t care about her. I’m 900 miles away from her, and cannot visit. This is horrible. Incarcerated people have broken the law, but their loved ones haven’t. Whomever thought it was a good idea to migrate communication platforms from JPay to Securus without proper tech expertise don’t care about their customers, who pay through the nose just to keep in touch. FIX IT.

Always buffers

Anytime I try to access my app weather im looking at messages or trying to send one it literally takes forever. It’ll either say something went wrong 20 times or it’ll load for the longest. Keeping up with inmates is already very pricey and difficult, let’s not make it worse. Fix the bugs and lagging. SMH

Trash but the only Garbage Can To Use

First let me start by saying “GREAT IDEA” terrible Execution…we on yes most of our lives ones shouldn’t be there In the first place ,however since they are ,we will support THEM not theyre actions..Nice that we can text , doing away with the dreaded phonecalls of trying to find something to talk about and not sound insensitive by asking wyd or letting them hear life in the background going on while they are down and out,but why make something that’s a dam tease for both sides,I understand no audible notifications ,bcuz everybody in jail will just be ringing allday and night,but the visual notifications dont work either,can’t add or buy stamps ,pic don’t send ,messages are hours in between,you get 75 stamps daily ,they get 10 smh,y let me send 75 daily messages but they can’t only reply 10 ,wata tease ,stop treating them like that bcuz they messed up in life …there has to be another way bczu this app isn’t it

If yall want us to use the service make sure it works! I call the support number & can’t reach a live representative the automated system just tells me to go online so I go online but the tech support online just gives me another network error message. I hate this is the only way for us to contact our loved ones cause it doesn’t work. Please fix these issues. Bring back JPay it actually worked unlike this trash service.

Awful

They don’t fix any glitches in the system. They’re constantly having technical errors. The only reason any of us use it is because we have to if somebody comes in and wants to design a new one I would be all for it, even if it cost more money. These people are notorious for having technical issues and for charging you money for things that they will just not send through.

Migration from JPay to Securus

Ever since JPay and Securus migrated together the system has not been working. Can’t send emails only video grams and snap & sends. It’s been almost a week and customer service just keeps just keep trying. IT is aware of the issue.

Live person?

Does anybody know how you can talk to a live person? It asks me to contact them but I can’t even speak to anybody.

Absolutely Terrible.

Made an account and it said to log in then I tried and it said my password or email was wrong but they were both right.

Network error

I love the idea of being able to keep in touch with my loved one but this app is horrible. I have been two hours trying to send a message and read one. I have spent a ton of money on this app and can’t even send or read a message that I can see is there.

Impressive but not in a good way

I think it’s quite a shocker how they treat their app users. I was trying to schedule a video visit with my brother for the past 5 months and every time I called support they always had an attitude and kept telling me they couldn’t help me with that because Securus apparently doesn’t help with those type of issues which ended up being a lie because I called a couple days ago and a very nice lady picked up and finally actually helped me resolve my problem that the others said they couldn’t. It was just a tiny issue that could’ve been resolved a long time ago if the staff actually did their jobs. Other than that it’s a good app to send messages.

False Advertising

Why advertise the app in google play store if the app can’t be supported on any google platform?

Remote visit

I keep getting an error message every time I try to schedule a remote visit.

App is too slow

Needs any update, the app loads slow and blocks contacts on its own. Gives so much issues.

No conection

Thought I was adding money to someone in jail and tried getting money back with no luck. All u get is a computer and no 50 bucks taken from my account without my permission

Terrible

Unable to send e-messages. Nobody to contact for “support” just a dead end cycle of bots that cannot help or remedy any issues. Sent an email to support no response. JPay worked well for messaging, if it ain’t broke don’t “fix” it.

Emessaging

Every time I try to write a message it says something about attachment which I never provided like all I want to do is check on my person and can’t even do that please fix the issue as soon as possible

Always an issue

I wish yall would take off this assistant thing. I wishes my messages would be in order when I have to read multiple instead of going all over the place. I’m sick of the app being down. It’s ridiculous

Can’t add money to my phone account, can’t send messages half the time, supposed to keep you in touch with your family but that’s very hard since the app doesn’t work. Worst way to keep in touch with your loved ones. Wish they would have never changed to this company

Connection

Connection, I’m trying to email ( Ulster) and keep getting remove attachment. I haven’t even written the text! I received a text but can not answer. I have already linked my account. So far this is NOT a user friendly app as was JPay. Sorry you changed it, so far it’s horrible.

Get rid of the pop up!!

Get rid of the pop up!! I do not’ need to be asked if I want to chat each time I’m logged on. Especially to a robot. It’s annoying I’ll be in the middle of typing and it pops up. For zero reason. Get rid of it!!

Somtimes you don’t get the messages for week/weeks

This is a good app to stay in touch with loved ones. However the app never notifies you when you have a messages, if possible I think this would make the app 100% better.

Nothing works

They steal money they don’t answer the telephone. Don’t use them. This place needs to lose everything. Their employees do not do their job. They do nothing but steal money.

Buggy App

God this app (and desktop site) is TERRIBLE. It won’t load my inbox messages from my loved one, for the past week EVERYTIME i try to send a message it will say “sorry, we’re experiencing technical difficulties right now” now I can’t even access the app or desktop site AT ALL. Everytime I log in it either says “error” (my email and password are typed in correctly) or it’ll let me log in but then theres but the “loading” sign will pop up anytime you try to access anything and it’ll keep spinning. God this app sucks…tell your loved one to use a different message service because this one isn’t it.

Garbage App

This is by far the worst app I have ever used. Constant network errors, messages not showing up, no notifications for new messages, messages out of date order, messages get mixed up when you go read one and then go back to your inbox, try to send messages and it will say you have no stamps when you have over 100. This app just updated a week ago, A WEEK AGO, and still the same horrible app. What did y’all actually update?! It already costs a ton of money for stamps and to call. Speaking of calling, the amount of dropped calls is insane. My loved one was given a number to call and you can’t even speak to an actual person. This is the only option in my state so y’all have a monopoly on this type of communication and it’s mediocre service. Do better, y’all make too much money off of us family and friends for this app to be THIS BAD!!!

Can’t update

Keeps saying account is disabled in App Store but if I go on Safari I log in fine. What is the problem??

Ugh!!’

This app is the worst! There are always issues with it. Now it absolutely does not work on my phone at all. I deleted so I could reinstall and it is not reinstalling. I have no way of messaging my friends. When they call sometimes a call will make it through and other times it says I don’t have an account. They need to go back to JPay. It was way better than this app. This one stinks!

Waste of app

Downloading and creating an account is hassle, created multiple password for them not to work. I try to use a password they send through email still does not work. What a garbage app. How does it have 4-5 stars. Must be fake ratings

Garbage app you must have

Unfortunately the justice system in most states only gives you one option to communicate with inmates, and it is this one. The other option is sending USPS letters and waiting weeks to communicate with your loved one. This app is a privacy nightmare, is constantly buggy, and forces you to pay insane sums of money for the “privilege” of communicating with incarcerated individuals. Only because this is the communication method of last resort does anybody use it. Hopefully someday this company, and the people that allowed this tk be the only communication method from the correctional institutions that use it exclusively will be sued for lost privacy, money spent, and time wasted. May got have mercy on your souls

FIX THE APP

the advanceconnect on IOS is broken and it is impossible to select your card type. which makes it impossible to upload money to your account to have phone calls. FIX THIS!!

No video visits

Can’t schedule video visit, when you get to choose date it says we’re experiencing technical difficulties try again later even tho it’s been a week… I’ve updated app and restarted phone… still not working.

If the update is not fully downloading, and pressing download update later closes you out of the app. Try deleting the app and installing it again.

Not the best

I love keeping in touch with my love one. But this app is money hungry & when I run out of connects to text I buy them & then it still says that I can’t send a message smh Like get it together this is ridiculous. Just taking ppl money & don’t care if the app works.

To slow in processing pic and messages

Takes to long to get pictures to send with the messages. Sometimes they don’t even get sent with messages and they won’t refund the stamps when the problem is on their end. Has taken up to two days for them to receive messages and pictures. Also sound quality is poor and it cuts off during conversations multiple times and the person has to call back. That is very frequent!

App is trash

All these fees we pay for every single transaction yet the app is buggy. I try to deposit money into the app using a debit card and it says error. Ive tried for a couple days now and still no good.

The updates take FOREVER to download. It insists that you download now, not later. Stuck in waiting . . . Why?
